Animals in speed

George Orwell: Animal farm

WSOY. 126 pages
Published 1945

George Orwell's book Animal Farm is full of action and revolution. Orwell designed the book as a satire of the Russian's revolution. The book was banned for long time, because it was considered to be communist book.

In the book animals get tired of how people utilize those and begin to rebel against people. The animals succeed in taking over the farm, but they experience a lot of adversity.

The animals of the book can be connected with motoring. Jysky, the horse is powerful like the Ferrari and reliable like the Toyota. The pigs are the leaders of the farm. They take care of thinking of and planning of innovations. On the other hand, the pigs are greedy and power-seeking, quite like some people. The pigs also cheat the other animals to get their own desire through.

The book certainly raises different opinions in people. It's like tuning car, some cars are cool, others doesn't and these arouse different opinions. The book is not so "cool", but it makes that very exciting!

X- my kind of music

When I'm home, I spend most of the time listening to music. I know that many other students do also that. I think music has become the way of life for people. Some people only listen to the rhythm, but others listen to the songs' messages also. We don't always realize how important part music is our lives, or could you imagine the day without music.

I can't say that I listening dupsted, for example, because I listen to almost every kind of music. When I'm tired or sad I listen to something that makes me relax. All I can say to that my mood affect very much what I listen.

Music may remind us of something. For example if you're listening to some song with your friends on a summer day, when you hear that song months or even years later it may remind you of that day. That's why I can say that we can't live without music.

The Hangover

The Hangover
2009
Director: Todd Phillips
Genre: comedy

The Hangover is an American comedy. The film was released on June 5, 2009 and it's directed by Todd Phillips and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Actors are Bradley Cooper (Phil), Ed Helms (Dr. Stu), Zach Galifianakis (Alan) and Justin Bartha (Doug).

The Hangover is simply fun movie. Okay, perhaps the title of the film is not the most attractive, but it is good illustration of the events of the film. The film tells about four friends Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug, who are going to spend Doug's bachelor party in Las Vegas. As you might expect, everything doesn't go according to planned. The fiancè lost the bachelor night and the others had 48 hours time to find him until the wedding start and they don't remember anything about the night.

It feels like all the pieces fit together in The Hangover. Jon Lucas and Scott Moore's screenplay is based on flashbacks, which are related the evening's events. This makes the film full of twists and the viewer feels like a bystander. Todd Philips succeeds where many American comedy director fail in avoid the silly excesses.

The film will make you laugh when you watch it. You may laugh so hard that you're a little ashamed of enjoying something so silly. The film is at its best, when you watch it with your best friends and then you may laugh even harder and you want to see it again. Comedies this good don't happen by accident and that's why everybody can recommend that The Hangover is worth seeing.

Art and music in schools

I can say that I'm not artistic or musical person at all. That's why art and music lessons have always been hard for me. I remember when I start the school I drew only stick figures and after ten years drawing is still hard for me. Okay, I have become better than before but I'm still having trouble drawing an idea on paper. That's why photographing is easier than drawing for me. I have always hates singing tests but it doesn't mean that I hate singing.

I think it's unfair for some people that music and art are graded. You can practice some other things and become better than before, but some people never learn drawing or singing even if they practices all the time. For them, these school subjects may cause very much trouble and I think these subjects are not so important in school.

However, I wouldn't remove these subjects from school. I think art and music lessons should be voluntary in school.

A thank you speech

When I was little, I watched the Oscar Gala on TV. I saw many great actors and filmmakers. Then I dreamed that one day I would be in the situation. Now I'm here and I can't find the words. The first thing that comes to my mind is "wow".

I want to thank all those who have supported me. Especially I want thank my family. We had some difficult times, when I didn't get  roles in movies. I almost gave up and started to look other professions, but my family convinced me to continue acting.

The big thanks also belongs to the film producers and directors. They made all this possible. I had also brilliant actors around me. We all worked hard, that's why I think this award belongs to all of us.

I certainly forgot to mention some important people, but they can come to pull my sleeve when we see each other. One more time I want to say thank you to everybody.
